Does Anytime eat bandwith?
Hello everyone! New poster :P
I've had Sky Anytime + now running for about three weeks, it's really only my grandfather that uses Sky mostly, but I use the Sky Player on the xbox among other things (I have Sky Unlimted) but for the past three weeks I noticed slow speeds on everything from pc gaming to sky player streaming. Either way connection in games was always slow and sky player always struggled to load films efficiently. I unplugged Sky Anytime+ and it's now reverted back to having only the small on demand content, but now, speeds everywhere else have improved. Has anyone had this problem with Sky+ or am I maybe overlooking something else?

Anytime+ will use bandwidth, and a fair chunk of it too...

Check that Granddad is using it correctly. It is easy to make a mistake and end up downloading several programs. These will queue up and use bandwidth until the downloads complete. If he wants to download a lot of programs, suggest he does it overnight or when the internet is not being used.

Yeah as isitime says when going into anytime plus and searching for something you can quite easily start downloading something without realising this and if you search a fre pages grandad could have been downloading several films. Did it myslef when first using it.
