Sky Anytime+..........Not so high Def ?!
OK, so I have just activated this new Sky Anytime+ which from a glance looks smart, slick and easy to use. But as this has got to have a down side I think I have found it. Don't get me wrong I love my Sky and would never change, but Where are the High Definition programs, I mean apart from the only 2 films I have noticed whilst flicking through the movie section. Am I missing something? Or have Sky ditched this service on Anytime+ as it will take longer to download on our capped broadband speeds? Also take up to much bandwidth? I would love someone to prove me wrong and show me the HD menus for the super tely that we all keep hearing about !
I look forward to any reply

Re: Sky Anytime+..........Not so high Def ?!
It has been fairly well publicised that Anytime+ offerings would be restricted to SD. HD files are huge and would take the average user(4.4Mb) ages to download. Maybe when the library has been built up they will offer more HD, but in the meantime I think they are trying to please the majority of users.
Super HD telly has not much to do with Anytime+, you will have stick to the ordinary EPG and Anytine for that.

Re: Sky Anytime+..........Not so high Def ?!
Oh OK, Its a shame as it feels as though its a half service if you get what I mean. I love High Def as the surround sound makes it all come together and its mind blowing on the newer broadcast. The Anytime I have just replaced was good as their was plenty of High Def programs. You say revert back to Anytime how can you do that?
Smithy99 - I say this as my speeds are terrible! Of course when you phone sky they promise between 8-11 Meg. I get around 4-5Meg witch doesn't seem to bad at first until you get both computers running, the kids game systems and now the Sky+HD box running of a fairly unstable Sagem router !! Maybe capped is the wrong word to use but it certainly isn't what I was offered

It also makes no difference on the statistics with out going into the BT Test socket.
In a perfect world we would have Sky's TV Service with Fibre optic Broadband speeds ! No I would have no complaints then !
