      Anytime+ Activation Increase Subscription Cost?

Hello fellow users, my query is, I got a 12 Month half price deal at start of the year, and as i signed in to activate Anytime+ my bill was going to be 71 (including BB + Line Rental) its 45 at the moment, has anyone else activated their Anytime+ that is in the same situation as me, and if so, did it affect what your monthly bill is going to be?
Thanks in advance for any help.

From past posters in the forum it seems that any change you make to your account invalidates any special offer you have. It looks like this has happened to you, sorry I don't know what you can do about it, apart from phoning Sky with a complaint. It seems very remiss of Sky not to advise people that this will happen.

Re: Anytime+ Activation Increase Subscription Cost?

The same just happened when i went to activate Anytime+. I too have the half price deal and free HD yet it showed price as 75 (or there abouts). I suspect that any discounts we have are taken off when billed and not at checkout. Keep an eye on your next bill, but i'm sure our deal is not affected.

      Can anyone confirm this?

You got me scared now. I'll look into it and see what's going on.

Your eyes must be better than mine as I can't see anything about this. I can't see any reason why people discounts (I am currently mid way through a 6 month 25% off deal) would stop simply because they are activating this service.

Re: Anytime+ Activation Increase Subscription Cost?

Hopefully its like the earlier poster said, that come next bill the discount will still be applied and that because its online its calculating at full price, I shall phone up Sky over weekend to clarify, unless I find out from anyone on here beforehand.

Re: Anytime+ Activation Increase Subscription Cost?

Well, checked my bill today and all the discounts are still there!

I got a bit worried when it said the 5 discount on BB Unlimited for having Sky Talk was cancelled on 25/10 (I signed up online for A+ on 26/10) but they started it again from 26/10, so it all adds up in the end. Looks like signing up for A+ reset the broadband package, but not the TV ones. Very odd.

Re: Anytime+ Activation Increase Subscription Cost?

Thanks for letting us know that activating it didnt void the discounts, i was worrying myself looking at the activation page online that said my new monthly bill would be 71 haha, ill activate it later in month after I rewire the telephone line to HD Box so my router can sit next to it.

Re: Anytime+ Activation Increase Subscription Cost?

Just got the leaflet through the door and thought OK thats cool )

I noticed this too when I placed the item in the shopping cart it jumped my monthly bill upto 40!! Very cheeky and bad practice sky!! I'll be waiting till 2011.

I thought they would want us early adopters to test the system so its ready for everyone else and not charge us more!
