Re: Sky Anytime + (PLUS) roll out update

Hmm - to activate in the Sky Customer section would cause my monthly cost to go from around 65 per month to 169 per month. I didn't realise they were charging 100 per month to use Anytime+ - that's outrageous!

Of course, this is obviously an error, however I'm not losing out my not having Anytime+, and my faith in being charged that huge amount by the stupid-service-system they use in Sky (ever wonder why they call it the SS in the call centre?) so I think I'll just leave it off for now...

Angry Re: Sky Anytime + (PLUS) roll out update

Is there anyone else on this forum who has Sky Connect and has been told they will be able to recieve the Sky Anytime+ service??

I have been told on 2 occasions by Sky representatives that I WOULD be able to receive it, just wouldnt be able to download as much as an unlimited broadband customer due to the 40gb cap per month.

How is it fair that a Sky customer on Unlimited broadband pays the same as a Sky user on Connect Limited broadband but the unlimited user gets all the rewards of unlimited downloading and they get Sky Anytime+.

I am really annoyed that I was told I could get the service to then find out I cant..its a joke! I was looking forward to using the service.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I am not paying 60 to Sky for this especially after Sky did originally say the wireless adapter would be of "minimal cost". I will be ordering these Homeplugs from Amazon for 37.50:

You have been mislead as it is only available to people with either Sky Broadband Everday Lite or Unlimited. For people like you with Connect Sky have said that it will be coming but at a unknown point in the future.

It is to late now but you could have checked the AnytimePlus part of the Sky website where it did state what broadband you needed for this to work.

Has you box been updated, you can see if it has by logging in here:

      https://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/mysky

Then click on Upgrade, scroll down to Anytime Plus and see what it says. If you haven't got a 1TB box then you box probably hasn't been updated and like everyone else you will just have to wait until it is. Sky have stated that almost everyone should be updated by Christmas.

I rang sky and got anytime+ on my box tonight. Can't upgrade my account online due to an account number error sky made a few years ago so I rang and asked them to turn it on. Really loving it so far haven't got movies though so content is a bit minimal at the minute.

Just to let you guys know I don't have the 1tb box I have the standard one however I only got it about 3 months ago so it is a new one. Not sure exactly which model this is. Also I have a netgear router. It is a sky one but one from years ago so I guess the whole router firmware thing wasn't true either.
