      Done a few tests before. Modem pluged into master test sockets, i got near on 16meg as seen above. Plugged the face plate into the master and plugged modem back in, 12meg connection then, nothin was plugged into extension unstairs. Only two sockets in house. Im getting another master socket tomorrow to go on the phone line upstairs to see if that cures it.

      Problem all sorted now. Installed a another master socket upstairs and disconnected the bell wire as its no longer needed for a master. Thanks for all the help guys!
