jpeg File Size? DVD Playback?

Why is it that when using a Digital Camera (6Megapixel) & you burn the picture files to CD for playback on a DVD player does it jam and not play?
It’s only when you reduce the file size or downgrade to 4 Mega pixels does it then work.
Can’t a DVD handle the file size?

I have a Sony DSC-P150 7.2 Megapixels and have created quite a few CD/DVD's and never had a problem and nobody I have given one to has said anything either.

It could one of many things, the software you are using or the disk or even the DVD palyer.
