Hi,
I currently have a sky ADSL router (SR102). I work in IT and have a need to test things at home. One of the things I'm trying to do is setup a VPN connection between 2 sites. The VPN requires that protocol 51 be forwarded/enabled, which I don't think the SR102 supports.
Is there a way to enable protocol 51 (protocol, not port). If not, is it possible to replace the sky router with another device? I'm hoping I can use a Cisco ASA instead - thanks in advance...

I thought protocol 50 & 51 are part of the IPSec requirements. I believed IPSec would work through any ip based network, I've certainly done IPSec from my laptop to my home systems, so a little research says they must support nat-t.
OK, found this on the netgear site, its interesting because it references home routers that do and do not support nat-t.

The draytek 2860 has an IPSec server built in so I would think that also supports nat-t.

Thanks, I'm actually trying to setup a site to site VPN using Microsoft Azure (a cloud platform). If it can be used with SKy, I was going to buy a Cisco device or another piece of kit and see if I can get it up and running

Yes, as you can see from that document the guy has forwarded ports through his router, so as long as you have a router that is nat-t capable and you forward the ports then you should be up and running in no time.
Oh just noticed, you may have to some static routes too.
