OK, order the 2m white vDSL patch lead & email your order ID to the support email address asking for the cable & boot to be BLACK. We'll get that done no problem :)
Thankss, quick question before ordering, would the white one be a big step up to the black one you would make me? would it be more beneficial to go with the white one? I know it seems trivial but all my cables are Black/Red around my home cinema area, and white ones annoy me...(OCD? LOL)....But if there's a huge jump in performance, I could cope.
No difference at all, they are both CAT5e cable, we just sell them in white as at the time the Openreach modems were white....
We just don't list a black cable off the shelf, the spec would be identical.
Ok thank you, I will have to order tonight as me banks empy lol, many thanks.
Ok just ordered, many thanks
Black cable in the post....
I've been considering one of your 0.25 metre (AVPL025M) cables for a while now
Because the shorter the better right?
The thing is, although it would be hidden that will require a hole in the side of some furniture, but would also have the bonus of keeping the cable well away from the mains socket & psu.
Otherwise it's the 1 metre (AVPL1M).
Decisions decisions. :)
I think when it comes down to short distances like .25M v 1.0M there is little or no difference. Comparing 1M to 10M then there might be, but if it were twisted pair cable the difference would be negligible.
Shorter the better but comparing 0.25m to 0.5m or 1m is not going to see huge (if any) differences. The really short leads are more for people who have the modem wall mounted so no need for coiled up cable......
