Re: My Capercaillie Pendant
It looks like a very nice pendant. I'm sure that the RSPB will invest the money raised into the reserve and that it will be a good investment for everyone.
I suspect that you'll need to spend a lot of hours tucked away in a hide in order to see the Osprey. Of course it would help to be in a good place to see them too. There should be a few young ones flying around now, so you may not to wait too long.
Do be careful on that Island though. I believe that there could be a big danger of you getting lost and not knowing which route to take in order to get back to the boat .
Re: My Capercaillie Pendant
The Osprey nest can be seen from the hide quite easily which is actually a big visitor centre run by the RSPB and they have some powerful telescopes provided by the RSPB to view the Ospreys. But Loch Garten is a massive reserve which has a huge amount of Birdlife and other wildlife and apart from the Ospreys and Capercaillies, there are Crested Tits, Varies types of Crossbills and also the Red Squirrel, which I have seen before and the Pine Martin and the Scottish Wildcat breed there as well, although those last two, you are unlikely to see as they are strictly nocturnal.
