internet and phone keep going off
Ok so 2weeks ago I was using the internet when all of a sudden it just went off. So I reset the router which normally does the trick but still nothing, then I tried the phone and realised that wasn't working either, getting no dial tone. So the next day I rang sky and they took me through all the usual steps and got it working again. Once off the phone to them it all stopped working again.
So the next day I ring again and they tell me I need a new router and send one out. Now that has been set up everything is still the same, internet and phone keep going down. I have now rang sky about 6 or 7 times and got no where with them. My phone and internet will come on for a few minutes every now and again but off for most of the day. It is a new router, used all the new wires and filters and I honestly don't know what else I can do.
I also have tried running it through the test socket but still can't get it to work for more than 15 minutes.
Any help would be much appreciated on what else I can do or who to contact to get some one out, because I can't get sky to send anyone out to save my life.

Call Sky and tell them your phone is giving intermittent problems, so much so that the dial tone disappears. You should check to be certain this is happening in the Test socket, as if it is found to be a fault with your internal wiring, you are liable to be charged for the call out. You will be advised of this when you make the booking. Do not mention broadband as it is a phone problem which can only be fixed by a phone engineer, mentioning broadband will only confuse the issue.
