Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
Hi All,
Just seen an offer on eBay selling info on how to fix Sky+ boxes. It also said it could increase the storage capacity from 20hrs to 100!!
I'm assuming it does something with the space allocated to Sky Anytime or compresses recorded data somehow.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this, and if so, is it safe?
Thanks
Re: Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
Theres plenty of info out there on how to add a larger hardrive. It still reserves some space for Anytime, but its not half the disk or suchlike.
Re: Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
check my sig and follow the links there on how to upgrade your hard drive (don't pay for it off ebay!!!!)
Re: Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
I understand that I can put a bigger HDD in, but I think the thing off eBay was some kind of software tweak that you do to your current HDD
Re: Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
you cant switch off the reserved hd space for anytime.
have you got a link to the ebay item.

Re: Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
Nope that's just a scam that will provide the details (as per my links) on how to upgrade your physical hard drive. Nothing more, nothing less.
In no way will it tell you how to unlock the reserved anytime disk space (simple because it is not possible on a PVR3 or HD box).
DO NOT PAY FOR IT - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Re: Sky Anytime space on Hard Drive
fair enough, thanks for the advice
