BT Broadband + LLU
Question, Why don’t BT Broadband offer LLU services?? I am on sky broadband and get speeds of around 14 meg! , my dad is with BT, he gets about 1 meg on adsl, whilst it is predicted he would get around 10 meg on LLU services. Only problem is that he is in contract with BT till March.
I would of thought considering it is BT’s exchange they would have the most upto date technology in it… I tried to have this conversation with BT but the chap on the end of the phone (in India I think) had no idea what LLU was ..and that was on the tech support line!!!

Re: BT Broadband + LLU
I think you misunderstand what LLU is. Local Loop Unbundling i.e. allowing other operators to install equipment into BT exchanges and thus offer their own DSL based services.
BT is rolling out a new network over the next few years which will seem them enabling their own equipment to the ADSL+2 spec, thus they will be able to offer faster speeds eventually.
BT Openreach handles the LLU side of things for the BT Group and other telecommuncations operators.

Re: BT Broadband + LLU
BT is a dinosaur compared to other companies like Easynet and so on.
