Current xbox live situation

Hello.

Sorry if it's been asked a million times but could anyone tell me about the current xbox live situation with Sky Broadband? Is it reliable? Is the connection generally stable? Am I going to be that annoying kid who laggs the game for everyone else? I'm not planning on using wireless, just looking for a stable wired connection. Is it worth switching to Sky BB as someone who plays lots of online games or am I better sticking with my £15 a month Telewest connection. Heard lots of bad things about Sky and Live but I'm guessing (hoping) most of those problems were to do with setting up wireless? Sorry if any of that doesn't make any sense, not exactly the most clued up person in the world when it comes to Broadband.

I have had sky BB since sept and i haven't had any problems with the Xbox Live service. I host alot of Gears of War games and no-one has complained about glitches.......well they have but it was just one person in that particular game, the others said that its fine.

You must remember to open up the relevant ports on the router tho.
