      Help required with my speeds...

      Hi,

I'm on Connect and my router stats are as follows...

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 6304 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 42.0 db 27.0 db
Noise Margin 10.7 db 21.0 db

The test from Namesco BroadbandMax ADSL Broadband Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL Broadband connection speed gave me the following results....

Download Speed: 5324 kbps (665.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 381 kbps (47.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

I have setup Azureus as per the guide on here and have also run the optimsation tool but I am only getting download speeds of 60kb/s max, with upload speeds of 20kb/s max.

Any ideas? There is obviously not a problem with my connection at 6304kb/s.

As has been covered a number of times, the Sky Connect service has traffic shaping in place and you will find a reduced speed with all P2P/torrents.

Encrypting your traffic may help. See other posts.
