Sorry, chaos, I'm being thick. I connect wirelessly, and in Network Connections, I have Local area connections (irrelevant as wifi) and Wireless connection. If I go into wireless connection, I have client, filesharing, etc. But no upnp that I can see.

Sorry - if you're on wireless, there's no LAN connection icon (natch). Just checked the kid's PC upstairs and there's no UPnP option from the wireless bit........

So - only thing you can turn off is the UPnP from the router.

My router is wired into my main PC and the one upstairs is running wireless, hence I run emule down here and was able to make the required changes to my LAN connection side.

BTW, just rebooted about an hour ago, connected back to emule (took three attempts to find a server that would give me a high ID) but the downloads have currently settled at around 150 KB/s, so I'm happy as a pig in doo doo!!

Hey guys, im having the same probs as all of you but im a step behind in that i cant get a high id because im struggling to sort this 'obtaining a static ip' thing - im running vista so its set out slightly differently to the (already difficult) instructions from portforwarding.com. Can anyone give me an idiots guide to getting a high id???

It all depends on the torrent, and the other people seeding/leeching. I've gotten 3mbps on bt before, while getting >1kbps the next day.
