      MIRC dcc sends/recieve not working!

I suppose this is the right place for this...

Before I joined SkyBB back in September, I used to download some audio files using mirc & a script called omenserve. I'not not used it since moving to sky, except now.

All the settings in the software are untouched from when it last worked (via NTL), i've checked and re-checked all the needed ports and that they have been forwarded correctely in the router. Now whenever I either send or recieve a file, the connection times out! All indications are that it's down to the port forwarding, but I know this to be correct!

The ports in use are :

      59, 1024 - 5000, 6660 - 6669, 110, 113

Is there any way I can test if these ports are actually open for use or if they are blocked or severely shaped by sky?? I'm still stuck on the connect package and I have heard of strange things like this....

Any and all ideas welcome guys!

Well i've still not any joy with this problem, other than taking my laptop a few doors down the road to my mate's place who is with orange. Plug laptop in, and hey presto all works fine!

Trying to get anything out of sky support is a nightmare, they just do not grasp what im on about! They just say that it must be my software and thats that. They refuse to pass it on to T3....

      Any other ideas??

AFAIK Sky do not block any ports so theoretically they should work.

When you say you take it to your mates and it works, does the IP on the laptop change for the ports mapped to it?

When I took it over to my mates orange bb connection, i simply put my laptop in the dmz, as i did not want to muck about with his existing port maps...

Have you tried DMZ on your Sky router as a test?

Yes, DMZ on the sky router makes no difference at all

      3 PC's, 2 laptops....

Exactly the same problem on all of them! (even with the ports forwarded accordingly)

Re: MIRC dcc sends/recieve not working!

Well you would only normally forward the ports to one IP address.

Have you tried putting the IP address for the laptop as the DMZ or the rules for forwarding?
