      Using to much Upstream?

I dont really use that much bandwidth these days
a few torrents once in a while

For some reason ive been feeling sort of conned having 20 Mbit upstream and not using it most of the time
and being that qos works so well on atleast my eci modem

I have left a torrent seeding the last week or so just to see the result
The torrent doesnt manage full speed alot due to most of the peers being in australia and such
and there being a limited ammount of peers on the torrent

I don't know, but that looks like it is hitting it pretty well there to me.

2.1MB/s is pretty close to 20mb. With the average of 1.5MB/s I would suggest that it isn't leaving much bandwidth for yourself to upload any separate large files at the same time.

Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Re: Using to much Upstream?

TBI i mainly use it for gaming
There hasnt been any noticable slowdown in browsing (down to the QOS reserving 1 Mbit of upstream for acks and such)
and it only altered my ping by around 9ms

From 10ms usual to the uk dedicated servers to an average of 19 maximum of around 35

9ms average extra latency and 25ms of jitter isnt really that bad
thats a good day on virginmedia not downloading anything
