Why would I do that? I haven't lied to myself.

They are free to report me if they wish. But seeing as I have only downloaded obscure old non commercial stuff for personal use, and they have actually been profiting from it, then I don't think they will have a leg to stand on.

This new IPC unit of the police isn't interested in feeling the collar of some bloke who downloads the odd 20 year old episode of The Cook Report. They are interested in finding criminal gangs who profit from other people's content. Thebox were definitely doing that as they allowed people to buy ratio.

I always found it so hypocritical that they would be so hard on "rule breakers" and "leechers" on that site when they were profiting from piracy.

      Witty response.

Can you not address any of the points in that post? Thought not.

Yes, sorry, there is no point bickering.

To make a more general point about sky. They are in a bit of a dilemma. They are instrumental in getting these torrent sites and football streaming sites down. But they also provide a lot of the unlimited broadband that these files are shared over.

Let's face it. The vast majority of people only have unlimited broadband for this kind of content. Without the content you may see a lot of broadband cancellations.

Whilst many will be using the unlimited connections for torrents, not everyone does.

Many use their connections for on-line gaming and things such as that.

Re: Major TV Torrent Site TheBox.bz Calls it Quits

So TheBox.bz didn't end truly last year, it was spun off into a new site zxcv.fm but only for selected users.

zxcv.fm has now closed too. Sadly or otherwise.

Most good British tv is now on public torrent sites or on streaming sites.

Sky exclusive content like the Playhouse presents series is rarely found on public sites so seems like it's a victory for Sky.
