Hi again Hugsie, after spending a lifetime trying to get bittorent/bittornado to work I gave up. I installed utorrent after you suggested it and what a difference. I am now getting acceptable download speeds but still getting poor upload speeds. Hows it running on your pc?, did you make any changes to improve it? what ports are you using? CHEERS.

I used the info from the link below to optimise my bit torrent. Remeber upload does depend on the seed leach ratio on the torrent, plus the download capacity of the leechers.

Also have you forwarded your port so you are connectable?

and in your settings if you are set to encrypted, which I am then tick allow incoming legacy connections.

      Angry Slooooow!

      Hi

Is anyone getting any decent torrent download speeds at all - over 80kb/s? Before moving to Sky BB a few weeks ago, I was getting very fast download speeds using uTorrent - nothing has changed since then, just my broadband and now it is soooo sloooooowwww!!!!

      Skaro.

Yes - I can max out my connection (~9meg) using utorrent and a few "good" torrents.

Are you sure you have your router set up properly i.e. the right ports opened?

Me too, I have to limit it so that I can browse without slowdowns.
