When are the next family and friends discount out? half price etc

I have a friend who is a sky engineer and he doesnt know when they are coming out, does anyone have inside knowledge of when the next half price sky will be available?

I am looking to join sky as my contract with virgin is up in 4 days time, so sadly I missed out on the last offer Im moving to save some money as well as the service quality paying over £100 per month to VM at the moment so one of those half price for 6 or 12 months deals would be really great. How often do they come around? Should I hold of ordering in hope of an xmas deal?

It really depends what you are looking for.

Sit down and work out how much the package you are looking for will cost from Sky. Look at the difference and then factor in some of the recent discounts from Sky. Is the price saving worth waiting until later this year or would you be better off going for it now?

Packages and prices change and there are many more changes in the pipeline which are coming to Sky over the coming months.

There are too many different options and no one on this site would be able to predict which offers will be available.

Don't forget too that there is advertising on this site which can also reduce your potential bill. Would the offers there help to move you across now?

I will be switching at some point for sure the package I want to get is

TV: Sky, Entertainment Extra, HD Pack, Multiroom Sky+
Calls: Talk Anytime
Broadband: Fibre Pro

It will work out a little cheaper (after factoring in call costs than my current virgin setup). Its more a case of if anyone knew how often the 6 or 12 month half price offers were likely to show up. I know sky don't give offers to existing customers like that. Im just gutted my contract with virgin didnt run out before I could have taken the 12month 1/2 price one that just ended.

Of course they can change things, but it appears that Sky's deal for staff are made available about every 3-4 months.
