looking for an overall deal
im allready with sky paying £21 monthly, for the basic package of channels (the phone is with BT). i just phoned them up to see what they could offer, as i was considering going to virgin.
they have suggested:
sky hd installed + unlimited broadband + evening/weekend calls free with line rental for £39 a month (first 6 months hd £10 a month waived)
i have no idea if this is a good offer or not
any advice, much appreciated.

Hi have you had a look to see if your exchange has Sky LLU. Through June & July Sky have Unbundled 68 exchanges around the U.K. have a look on the link SamKnows - Sky / Easynet LLU Is the big problem the connect package.

Hi ilford central was unbundled Sky / Easynet: Enabled as of 13/09/2006 How long have you been on Sky Connect. If you are being offered unlimited broadband as well that sounds like a good deal But make sure you get the unlimited broadband not Connect again.Last edited by steve16751; 06-08-10 at 11:18 PM.

Re: looking for an overall deal
You also have to consider wether you want to move onto Sky's dedicated voice and broadband network.
If you go line rental with them and broadband then you will be most likelyhood be moved onto this network, which means in the future should you wish to move away from Sky you could have big problems having to get the line re-provisioned back bt BT etc.
As for good offer or not you will have to do a price comparison with your current provider and see if there is a significant price saving.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

Re: looking for an overall deal
thanks for that, currently im on sky+.
i was mainly considering options if moving over to HD was going to be much more than im currently paying (£35 a month for tv, including phone with BT)
