Remote not working sky digibox

Hi
Have recently got a new remote from sky card points (credit card)
Had no trouble setting up with my tv but all of a sudden it has stopped working my sky digibox , which is a second box on multiroom in bedroom.
Lights still flash on remote but nothing on front of box
Still works tv though
Please can anyone help me getting fed up having to change channels manually

This can be a remote control issue, or the remote sensor on the front of the sky box that gone faulty.

1 You can try to switch the sky box off at the wall then switch it back on to see if that works.

If that fails to see if you sky remote is working right if you take one battery out of the back of the sky remote and face the red light on top of the remote at you, blindly put the battery back in the back of the sky remote and see how many times the led flashes on remote.

0 TIMES- faulty remote- replace
2 TIMES- working fine
flashes several times- button stuck on sky remote- try find that button or replace

2 See if you are able to to use your sky remote in someone else sky box, if that works it comfirms a faulty sensor on front of sky box. Remember sky digibox remotes can only be used on sky digibox's only.

If not they are ways that you can reset sky remote, for different issues, don't ask me how!

have tried resetting new remote still no good .Have gone back to old one which works fine

Neither will mine nor will the mute button work despite changing batteries.

If the Sky remote is not changing the volume then it could be the code needs reinputting to control the TV (iirc it can be set to control the volume of the TV)
