Free Sky Sports & Sky Movies for a month
Sky are currently running a promotion for existing customers offering free sky sports dual and sky movies dual to existing customers if you call them before 31 Jan 08.
You will then need to cancel the new channels before the month is up or they will start charging you the full price
Saw this on another forum, is it correct?

Re: Free Sky Sports & Sky Movies for a month
We've just received a "drop" in the post today about FREE Sky One, Sky Movies (excluding Sky Box Office) & Sky Sports from tomorrow (11 January 2007) 'til the 24th.
Please forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere already.
Unfortunately it sounds totally different from your post. This is where I have read previously and was posted on the 10th Jan 08
And im sorry for giving your soul bad news but its not true not at the moment anyway. No one has officially said they will be free for a month or whatever only opinions ah. But Sky engineer is coming today so I can easily ask him about this rumour.Last edited by danny2008; 11-01-08 at 12:26 PM.

The engineers are not supposed to be clever

Re: Free Sky Sports & Sky Movies for a month
Hi,
If I am understanding it correctly, You will only get the channels for free (Sky Family - Sky One, Sky Movies, Sky Sports, Sky Arts ect ect) if you have recieved the letter.
Even so, Through this month, You will need an active subscription (So you still need to have a subscription of some sort), Which cancels out those using FreeSatFromSky (FSFS Cards).

Re: Free Sky Sports & Sky Movies for a month
3 months ago I phoned Sky to cancel Sports and Movies.
When asked why I said that I didnt think it was worth the money as I dont watch enough of them. They then offered to give it me for half price for 3 months. So I said yes.
Phoned back yesterday , following return to full price, said exactly the same, and they again offered me 3 months for half price.
I think if you choose the right answer to their question you could keep getting this deal (as I've had this deal quite a few times over the years).

Re: Free Sky Sports & Sky Movies for a month
So guys is it no letter no sports and movies lol... I already have sports on my package but not movies and I have been checking all day because if they are there for free I wont mind watching a few of them even though they are the same repeated programmes - movies from about 6 month ago. Only good movies I liked before I got sports a few weeks ago was *War Of The Worlds* *Mission Impossible* and sometimes *Rush Hour* but I already have them on dvd so on sky they are just there for convenience and quicker than digging out the dvds lol
