l do have a signal booster however which l obtained while sky was offering them for free. however lm wondering if l should connect it via a longer piece of cat5 and install it in the hallway or if l should install it in the room with the router.. l would have thought the hallway would be better as l can put it closer to the area where things will be installed for nowtv but wondered if it boosted signal or just extended it to where it was placed if that makes sense.

Personally I would try to install a Cat 5e Ethernet cable from your rouer to where you want the Now TV box.

Whilst the Sky WiFi Booster is great for getting a signal to remote positions, the performance is severally hampered. This will become an issue with streaming video content.
