      Contacting human being during Covid-19

      Hi,

I am trying to get hold of someone at Sky, over problem with telephone line I have (and speed of my VDSL)
but every time I phone Sky expert on 03337 591 541 I am being told I have to do it on-line as Covid-19 ...........
and I am not in vulnerable group ...

I am as well at the end of the contract, and want to talk to them about a deal.

Is there any way to get hold of anyone at Sky?

Have you tried calling 150 from your landline (assumes Sky is your landline provider, which it presumably is given that Sky is your broadband provider)?

Despite Covid-19, dunno why so many businesses such as banks etc are being so sloooow about returning to providing a better degree of BAU service to customers!

Yet they have phoned me twice to try and get me to take back sky tv and phone package. The Covid excuse is wearing a little thin tbh, everyone else is managing. I have had dealings with doctors emergency dentists, gritish bas and have had no trouble with any of them. Sky has fallen in my estimation lately, especially with the rolling blackouts they've had across the UK.

OK, so I did not have a ADSL splitter on the connection as I do not use PSTN services, so no need for it as I understand.
(I have VDSL2 80/20, so it must be the same as for ADSL2 and the splitter is only there to allow POTS service alongside xDSL, right?

I have connected the ADSL splitter and landline to my VoIP phone and dialed 150.
The options are the same as if I call Sky expert telephone number: 03337 591 541.

They still have the message about going on-line as Covid-19 ...........

Have you tried cancellations? I recently negotiated a new deal with a member of Sky's turnaround team after calling on 03337591353 which presented me with a similar VAR to other numbers. Following options to completely cancel my Sky services, I thought that it was going to allow me to do this without talking to a real person but I did eventually manage to speak to an agent in the UK.

Re: Contacting human being during Covid-19

That's a reasonable(ish) price tbh if your line gives you 80/20, I pay 22 but my line is crap and I only get a third of that (it's got worse lately and I intend to pay even less next time as it's slowed again) I have always said Sky's policy of charging everyone different prices is dodgy at best and scam at worst. You should pay on a sliding scale of what speed you recieve and it should be same for everyone, might be an incentive for them to chase up OR and sort some lines out.
