When I cancel my tv package, I understand they require 31 days notice. Does this also mean the service will remain active for those 31 days (seems logical), so I can get watched any recordings I have?. Same question with broadband.

You will have full access to your Sky TV services during the 31 day cancellation period. The same should be true with broadband unless you are changing to another supplier, in which case (unless you are moving to Virgin Media) you will lose your Sky broadband service when the transfer takes place.
