EE and TalkTalk are 'most complained-about networks'

EE and TalkTalk are 'most complained-about networks' - Telegraph
EE’s pay-monthly mobile complaints volumes were twice the industry average last quarter

EE and TalkTalk have been named and shamed as the UK's most complained-about networks in Ofcom's latest quarterly report.

EE (combining T-Mobile, Orange and 4GEE) generated the most complaints about pay-monthly mobile telephone services as a proportion of its customer base during the first quarter of this year.

At 0.12 per 1,000 customers, EE’s pay-monthly mobile complaints volumes were twice the industry average and largely driven by issues related to complaints handling, billing and issues with changing provider.

EE also generated the the highest proportion of complaints for broadband, with 0.42 complaints per 1,000 customers. Complaints were primarily driven by service faults, billing and issues with changing provider.

Meanwhile, in the landline telephone market, TalkTalk generated the most complaints during the quarter, with 0.28 complaints per 1,000 customers. BT was named as the most complained-about provider of pay TV services, with 0.25 complaints per 1,000 subscribers - five times the industry average.

The main drivers of its complaints in both cases were service faults, complaints handling and billing issues.

“Publishing complaints data is a key part of our work to provide useful comparative information for consumers, and drive improvements in quality of service across the communications sector," said Claudio Pollack, director of Ofcom’s Consumer Group.

"This is valuable information that consumers may wish to consider alongside other factors such as price and availability, for example, when choosing a provider."

Re: EE and TalkTalk are 'most complained-about networks'

I can back that up as I ended up having to use CISAS when I had ongoing network issues where I live for 3 months+ with EE mobile. EE's complaints/customer relations department are an absolute utter waste of time, space and fresh air.
