Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro is starting to look uncompetitive with these changes.

Yes I was thinking that too. I was hoping to see Sky re-vamp the fibre product line with yesterday's H1 results - to just have an 80/20 product for 20 per month (more or less price matching PlusNet's current unlimited fibre offering). My 12 months on FTTC is up at end of April, so maybe there's time for something to happen yet.

There are also going to start giving people free cloud storage space, 2GB or 50GB depending on the product that is taken. Standard Broadband, Unlimited Broadband, BT Infinity 1 and Unlimited BT Infinity 1 are entitled to 2GB accounts, while Unlimited Broadband extra and Unlimited BT Infinity 2 can take advantage of the full 50GB.

Hmmm, I might jump ship when my contract runs out if it is still truly unlimited and cheaper than sky fibre.

Sky are going to have to do something or they will lose customers in droves because of the financial climate.

Surely this will force sky's hand into lowering the price of the packages.

Hoping so! PlusNet is looking attractive right now at 19.99 (plus line rental) for the (as I understand it OFCOM compliant definition of unlimited) 80/20 product.
