      Cool Samsung Galaxy S II

I'm considering getting an new phone in the very near future, most specifically the Samsung Galaxy S II, and I would like to know if anybody here has had problems with it.

I've done a fair amount of research on the phone, reading online reviews and watching video reviews and I believe this is the phone for me. But I would also like to here personal opinons of the members of this forum. Before I finally make my decision.

      Re: Samsung Galaxy S II

I've had one since mid-November and I can only say that I am delighted with it. The screen is excellent. It is very easy to switch 3G data on and off and it picks up WiFi networks easily. The GPS is excellent. The speaker is loud and clear.

Note that it wins best buy in every comparison review I have read. It is also possible to buy it sim-free at a very attractive price (very useful if you travel a lot - buy a local sim card for very cheap calls!)

My wife was so jealous of mine that she bought one herself (which I, of course, had to set up and manage!)

Go ahead; you won't be sorry.

      Regards,

      Felix

Awesome, thanks for the responses guys. They were very helpfull. I guess that none of you guys have experience any problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks using your SGSII. I've read that some users had problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks.

      Re: Samsung Galaxy S II

The only trouble I ever have with WiFi is on our local buses. They offer free WiFi and when you open the browser you are redirected to a page to accept their terms and conditions. I couldn't understand why I had difficulty. After my wife bought her Samsung, she had no difficulty whatsoever, even sitting beside me on the bus.

I have security software on my Samsung and she doesn't. Eventually I reckoned that the software was preventing redirection of the web page. I now disable the software, log on and then re-enable the software and all is well.

In short, it was nothing to do with the Samsung at all!

      Regards,

      Felix

Galaxy s2 has been around for nearly a year and in my opinion has run its course. You may want to consider getting a Sony Xperia S. Launching in March... More here.

      Re: Samsung Galaxy S II

The best phone in the world will always be released next month (until the following month, that is!)

The galaxy SIII will be released soon. Once it has been, the SII will still be every bit as good as it is today, but probably a bit cheaper.

You really have to decide which phone will do what you need and want it to do - anything else is needless expense. If you really want the best phone available, change it every month!

      Regards,

      Felix
