To be honest I think there are far too many going on to University to take absolutely useless degrees. Probably because they are the easiest. I have several friends with youngsters who have got their degrees. 2 of them are are serving hamburgers in well known outlet, 1 is a waitress in a local restaurant, 2 have been employed by large construction companies as junior civil engineers, 1 is an electrical engineer now working in Saudi Arabia. Another is continuing his medical studies in America. Guess who got the useless degrees?

It'll be interesting to see where they're going to get the money from, I heard a discussion on the radio where it was said that the scottish parliament simply doesn't have it. Maybe the SNP will resort to their usual retort of blaming the English for everything eh?

gotta agree with you chug a bug , years ago the snp's answer to every question was scottish oil from the army ,police force, schools etc and how to provide the money [ Ithink if you were constipated back then snp would say the answer was scottish oil]however i hope your wrong i have noticed over the last 5-6 years a definite sway away from the blame the english campaign to more of a look at how well scotland is doing .
      also i noticed today this
BBC News - Student leaders urge university principles to restrict fees hopefully it'll work out

South of Scotland councils approve 120m broadband scheme

thinkbroadband :: South of Scotland councils approve 120m broadband scheme

South of Scotland councillors have shown unanimous support for a 120m broadband funding model aimed to deliver next-generation broadband through Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders by 2020. Current investment by BT in the area will only see two regions upgraded which include Innerleithen, a BT Race to Infinity winner, and a pilot project taking place in Annan.

      PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.
