BUP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unless the standard info files are damaged you do not need to open the backup (BUP) files.

If you have CyberLink, InterVideo, WinDVD or Nero or another application to play DVDs installed, right click the .bup file and select 'Open with', navigate to the application you have, select it, click OK and the file should play.

      Re: file extension BUP

file extension BUP are actually designed to open with the program NeroShowtime. As youíre app did not allow you to open these bup files, you may first attempt opening them w/ apps: Softcode Tracker, PC-Bibliotech, CD Indexer, and InterVideo WinDVD if you have any. If you are prompted with the same error, it is best to run a registry scan for your Window Registry may have been corrupted resulting in errors in opening bup files.

      Re: file extension BUP

BUP is short for ifo BackUP. It's a copy of the IFO file incase they're damaged in some way, the DVD player will read the BUP file instead.

In short, don't worry about it.
