Small problem is that you need an attenuation of <20db to get anywhere near this speed. Which is probably why they don't.

I get 16db on my attenuation but only on connect as exchange hasn't been done yet

Re: HAVE A LOOK 24mb Broadband

UK University networks sit on a fibre infrastructure known as Super Janet (it may even be Super Janet 2 now). In a nutshell, this is a uk wide backbone of multiple 1GBps fibre connections with various copper and fibre connections branching off to the different .ac.uk networks. It has been a while since I was last involved with this network but I think a handful of major universities have full 1GBps connections to the backbone whereas most smaller ones have 144MBs or lower connections to a node.

In case anybody is interested, I have been with Be Unlimited for a year now and am in the process of migrating to Sky Max to save some cash. I live 600m from my exchange and got a solid 16mb connection from Be with 2.5Mb upstream. I think I am quite luck in that I have good cabling between myself and the exchange. I will let you know my stats when I am connected to Sky.
