Working for yourself is cool, I was afraid and apprehensive to do it at first. However if you don't try you would never find out whether it was the right decision to be made or not.

I don't earn a great deal, all my bills are paid. As long as my family don't suffer, I have no plans to work for anyone else.

Although I realise I will never be rich, working for myself, the independence is great, and I truly believe I could not work for anyone else now anyway. I hate been told what to do
Ditto! I couldn't stand being cooped up in an office or a factory, having to watch the clock all the time, getting told off if I'm 5 minutes late. Just like being back in school! Not for me, thanks.

Re: What do you do for a job?

I work in Logistics, mostly in the Middle East. Have had a few months off but off to Dubai on Wednesday for interview.

Knowing my luck, after spending months getting my Sky BB working, I'll get the new job and be back on the State provided dial up again

Just finished my SQA Highers! I believe it's the Scottish equivalent of A-levels. There set at quite a high standard and as a result the pass rate is slightly lower than their English equivalent. Last years Higher English was a dismal 64% [nationally] but this was linked to a very difficult examination and stricter marking which caused all sorts of controversy, so I'm hoping that this years (the one I sat) will be marked more sympathetically and hence I stand a better chance!! Wishful thinking lol

Re: What do you do for a job?

Been selling for 10 or so years, currently an "Account Manager" (read Sales Rep - who makes up these titles?) selling lab equipment. Not a bad job to do, working from home and making your own hours are good, but you do get a smidgen of pressure to hit targets!
