      Re: Say Hello

      Hello everyone.
I'm new to the forums. I joined to see if anyone can help iron out a few issues I might be having with our Sky account. But I'll go through the threads first to see if there's anything similar posted that might help me. We (me & Mum) have had Sky for about 10 years (Mum's just corrected me and say's it's nearer 20! Jez, that long?) Anyway, off to browse

      Re: Say Hello

      Hi everyone
I'm Chris, 26 and stuck at home with mum money issues pending! I do have two jobs which means when I'm at home I'm even working then!
Been with Sky ever since Broadband was at 10 per month I think, used to be with NTL/Virgin but the promise of better broadband and cheaper rates brought me to Sky (since we had Sky TV already) when Virgin were still only giving out 2mb broadband as standard, and Sky were offering 8mb they were better value.
However, come on now to see what I can do about improving my broadband, as being that I use the internet upstairs more often than not, my extension is proving to be the downfall of my connection in recent months. So it's either homeplug, hope for fibre optic broadband from BT/Sky or switch to Virgin.... all suggestions welcome. I live almost 3 miles from exchange which really doesn't help!

      Re: Say Hello

      Hey Sky User

New to the site, only discovered it yesterday, thought I'd sign up today.

Been with Sky for nearly 2 years now... I think?! haha

Recently upgraded to Unlimited BB, wasn't very happy about it, and only when I decided to leave did Sky sort me out. Anyhow, happy chappy now, just need to work out why my speeds are SOOO slow, I think BT wire, and distance from exchange don't help. speedtest.net puts it at 0.5Mb DL, and .04Mb UL...seems odd as I assumed the UL would be significantly LESS than the DL speed....

Ah well, i am sure I'll find some answers on here

      Mike
