Thanks, Smithy. I keep seeing that option cropping up and it's looking attractive.

I've seen folks say that you can install a Homeplug and attach another router to that to provide wireless coverage in a dead area. I have the modem/router in the middle floor office. I havea strong wireless signal up in the loft bedroom, but it's very weak in my sitting room which has steel joists all round. I have my previous linksys router which could serve if this would work.

      I'm still reading the threads.

      Re: Say Hello

That is exactly how it works, as I do that on my system to give a good wireless point in my living room where my wife uses her laptop and blackberry.

If you want more advice start a new post and somebody can walk you through it.

      Hi,
My name is Karl and I am an IT Project Manager into all things geeky!, living in Walsall. I have media streaming all over the house, use Macs and PC's and XBOX's, XBOX360's and PS3's... I use Homeplugs and hubs to further extend my connection all over.

      regards,
      Karl

      Re: Say Hello

Hello everyone, I am Julian and have just installed a Sky+HD box that I bought from Cash Convertors.
It of course didnt work and I then found out that I have to have a Sky+ subscription to get the record and pause function although HD and all the channels work for me.
A very helpful CS person called Leigh helped me out for a few days, even had a engineer come and change out my box! But I still cannot get the channels that I have asked for or use pause and record, even though the engineer has changed the box and done whatever he needs to do.
Perhaps someone on the forum knows something about this?

      Hello all,

I'm Dan and I've just arrange to have Sky HD and broadband installed in my first house which I move into on September 1st. I've already got some good info from this site so if I have any problems I'll be calling here first!

      Hi I'm Kris.
I'm a long time sky customer (tv only) - I go back to the old analogue days!

Currently have 2 standard sky boxes (one FTV the the other FTA) a 2 year old sky+ box. I've just brought a "faulty" sky hd box from ebay which just needed a new disk. I intended to move from sky+ to hd (but only the free HD channels) when SWMBO has watched her prerecorded Dallas programs!

      Hi All,
I am Hugh from Northern Ireland. Had Sky Broadband for the past few days, I am impressed with it do far, lets hope it stays that way, Move to Sky from O2 as they said we were using too much. The wife and I have had Sky+ for the past year or so, She watches it the most as I am mostly always online doing this that and the other.

      Re: Say Hello

Just to say hi all. I have been browsing the forum for while and it offers some great advice. I have 3 Sky+ HD at home and have recently signed for the talk and broadband unlimited package (to avail of Anytime+ when it arrives)...... Hit the first glitch today but I will post in the appropriate section.

      Marc
