Never noticed this thread before
@ Ralph - my router turned up by courier although I wasn't around when it showed up so do know who delivered it although I think the Sky lady said it would be from Parcelline.
I don't think you can access your e-mail before you are activated as you have to set up an account on the Sky Portal first.

I forgot to say hello when I gate crashed, how rude
43 at last count, on ntlworld but hoping Sky BB will save me £216 a year.
But then there's no such thing as a free lunch, hang on though, Sky get £46 a month off me now!!
Sky BB must work then?!
Found Sky User trying to find out about Sky BB, glad I found it, very informative and helpfull.

It's Friday so I am abbreviating!!!!! I hope you do not mind!
Sky BB works, most of the time for most of the people! But when it goes wrong, well they really have not got that part right yet! So all the best with your transfer! I came from cable (Telewest) and since they have recently started traffic shaping I am so happy I moved, even though I needed far more knowledge to stablise my Sky connection!

Hi, I'm James nearing 40 with 2 kids of 4 and 2.95 (recurring).
Again I have joined sky to save money, but haven't spent so much on wireless networks since I applied.
Currently waiting for the courier to search their warehouse for my router - hence I'm on 56k (really 44.6 because I'm connected by string and 2 plastic cups at the moment).
Currently deliberating on range max/super G - the 'normal' G couldn't hack it.
By trade I'm a programmer so I know all about project management - but I call it "applied shout loudest" technique.
Any probems with sky don't believe the "we'll let you know if thres a problem" - phone on a daily basis. Always worked for me!

The courier is parcelline, they have a tracking service - put your postcode and skys customer number (981427) and it tells you not where your router is...
but where its supposed to be...
