Hello is this the welcome thread ?

I got a PM saying welcome to the Sky User site and post on the welcome thread but I just couldn't find it.

Anyway my name is Robbie but my name on here is Benedict Arnold which reminds me of eggs benedict.
By the way what is eggs benedict I don't think I've ever had that ?

Not on Sky BB at the moment as the LLU service is not in my area but you never know I might move to an area that does have it.

      Tattie bye the noo

      Benedict Arnold.

      Re: Say Hello

Welcome aboard, thanks for the feedback, I have now changed the text on the welcome PM to "Say hello" thread rather than what it was before.

      Hi everyone, I'm Andrew.

I'm 41, single, no kids, but do have a rescued whippet called Dingle .

I work in I.T. (somebody has to!) and have done for about 20 years.

      Re: Say Hello

Hi, I'm David, I am married have two children 9 & 11. I work from home so spend some time surfing the net. I have had Sky TV for years and have just got HD box (not from Sky) but only use Sky+. I feed all the rooms with Sky using an RF Amp and Magic Eyes, works really well.
Thought I would save some money and get Sky broadband, currently with Plusnet. My sky router came today (Sagem). Seem to have some issues with signal strenth reaching my main PC, I currently use Netgear Rangemax 108G.
Any idears how I can extend the range or should I pull out as I have not migrated yet. If I was given the Netgear router I could have got the password etc.
      Anyway babbled on long enough.

      Re: Say Hello

Tried channel 11 but still no good, I think I will need to hard wire or find another access point, may be try these plug into the mains wiring type range extenders!!!

Are these plugs into the mains wiring to put BB around the house any good ?

Everyday I'm learning more and more about less and less and eventually I'll know absolutely everything about nothing.

Excellent, I know 4 people who have them and they are over the moon with them.

In fact I think one of our moderators, Hornet has just bought some.

      Re: Say Hello

Maybe I will go down the road and buy some, recon it's the only way I'll get some surfing in my den at the back of the garage.

I've got two servers out in the garage which is detached from the house, that I connect to via the powerline adapters. I've got the Netgear 102's (the slow ones), they are brilliant for what I need them for.
