      Hi
I'm John, 25. Married to a lovely Canadian girl I met in NZ (long story).
Formerly with F2S until the speeds went wonky, then sloped off to Newnet (till they increased their prices) then left again for UKFSN and considering moving to sky for the lower price and 16Mbps speeds

      Hello !

I am one very angry & disappointed Sky BroadBand Max.
Been with sky since Oct.06 & has suffered from constant line drop-out problems particularly between 3-8pm almost every day & at best of times getting only 10.6MB line speed although I am only a 1/4miles away from the Chingford, London exchange.
Hope to get some tips from this forum.

      Later.

      Re: Say Hello

      Hi All,
I'm Tony and i live in Cambridgeshire with my wife and son. I work in IT but that doesn't mean I have any idea what Im doing with a PC.
Just switched from Tiscali after 5 joyful years to the SKY Base package, as my exchange is only capable of 512Kb
My MAC was given to SKY on monday (2 days ago) and am awaiting a response from them. I hope the transfer goes smoothly, because having recently moved house, I am fed up of being on 0870 numbers for hours on end, Just to be told the problem has been escalated( If they escalate me any further, the big G will be dealing with me, flipping Powergen!!!!)
In peoples honest opinion, How are SKY with migrations, am I to expect dissapointment?

Any way, hi to all, hope to get to know you all better over the comming months/ years.

      Tony

      Tony...

I migrated to Sky from Orange Broadband a few weeks ago and I haven't had a problem with Sky (until now - I suspect it is a wiring issue though so don't panic! All went very smoothly!

Anyways.... Hi guys I'm James and I live in Derby right in the heart of the UK (dispite what people from Notts and B'ham say ). I have recently moved to my very first house and even after a month I am still finding things to unpack!

I switched (as I said) to Sky Max BB a few weeks ago, mainly for cost reasons, and I have yet to see any sign of an 8mb connection....let alone a 16mb one!! Heres hoping! I guess I will be seeing some of you in the tech support forums hehe!

      Take care,
      J x

hi from scotland, not long got sky BB (max) had problems with the router, but it ended up being ports 1 & 2 were faulty, got it replaced & it's working fine now.

      Hello All

I'm Stu from Dublin but currently living in Crystal Palace. Just moved here from North London where I had BE but we got offered Sky BB as part of our TV package so went for it. Should be enabled today/tomorrow on the Max package. Tests I have done suggest I should be able to get speeds of about 14mb (that's if they put me on the ADSL2 package).

      Re: Say Hello

Hi Peeps. I am in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, i used to very happy with NTL Phone, TV and BB until my STB went wrong and they couldnt come to fix it for a week or more, i phoned NTL to cancel the TV and they gave me Free Phone and unlimited calls for the price of my 2 meg Broadband.

So i got a Sky dish for my TV and havent looked back.

      tim
