Re: Say Hello
Hello,
I am not yet a Sky broadband user but have today applied to be one.
I have been with NTL since it started but now it's been taken over by Virgin media the prices have got too much for me. I have Sky tv which I have had no problems with so hope the same goes for the broadband. I have opted to install this myself and it's nice to know that I can come on this site for any help with problems etc.
I am a silver surfer and taught myself to use a computer by buying computer magazines a few years ago. I have made good progress and now have my own website.
I am also a grandma to two lovely children who know far more than me about computers.

Re: Say Hello
Hi
I am Nha and I have just joined Sky BB . So far it has been a good experience was with Tiscali but Sky was so much better value. Very easy set up for wireless and a good little package. I am interested in bittorent options and glad to find that it can be done via the Sky router.
I am married with 2 kids, work shifts and have 2 laptops, one XP and one Ubuntu.
see ya!!

Re: Say Hello
Hi,
I'm Gabezek. i've just joined sky broadband max. This site is one of the best unofficial support forums I've seen... in fact, it helped me to make an informed decision w.r.t. the broadband option I should get.... Keep up the good work!
One problem though: I'm not getting anywhere close to 16Mbps - just over 9Mbps (sometimes).
Anyway, I guess this is the wrong thread to talk about speed. So, I shall talk about myself... I'm into IT - software developer, live with a wife, no kids. Not really into games (but hope to do so with sky max ;-) so anyone out there who can point me in the right direction, that will be great!)
What more can I say? Well, thanx for letting me into this cool forum

Re: Say Hello
I now have my SKY Broadband and TV up and running just the 'speak' bit of the package to go. It changed over on time and before the 3 extra days they said to allow after the broadband activation date. Its faster and less problematic (no troublesome AOL software) than my old AOL connectionhttp://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Re: Say Hello
Hi folks,
Just thought I'd introduce myself and say hi.
Joined Sky TV over 6 years ago and been with their broadband since January. Had the usual connection problems and have given up with wireless as I don't really need it. On the whole quite pleased but wish Sky CS was better.
I'm married and both the wife and I work for the NHS, however at the moment the wife's off on maternity leave. We're the proud (tired) parents of an eleven week old girl. The net is the only thing keeping me sane and at lets the wife engage in some retail therapy from home.

Re: Say Hello
Hello, all
After a few "left hand / right hand" issues that saw my original order for Sky b/band mysteriously cancelled, I have managed to complete migration from the hilariously bad Orange. And on Independence Day, too. Have been with Sky for its telly for around fourteen years and, as long as it works whenever I switch it on, I'll stay with it. Easily satisfied, me!

Re: Say Hello
My SKY Broadband and TV are both up and running fine. Just the SKY Talk bit to do. The switch from AOL to SKY for Broadband occured in less than the 3 days from the activation date SKY said to allow. I was using it the day after the Activation date.

Re: Say Hello
Hi all. Just signed up as this site seems a pretty exhaustive resourse for all things Sky.
I am here for newsgroup infoand Mac/Sky.com issue resolution. Oh, and a nice chat every now and then!
Seems to make sense to talk to other users than mokes following scripts at 50p a minute!
So hi everyone!
