      Morning all,

Been a part-time contributor and full-time lurker since October of last year

I'm 28, live in London and work as a materials controller for a large construction company.

Had Sky TV for about two years and Sky BB pretty much since launch; have been one of the lucky ones as have had minimal fuss with the service (after switching to my own router!) but any queries have of course been answered on this exceptional site

Anyone into racing games on the 360 and fancy a game of Forza 2 then look me up, my gamertag is Arsy Ars - don't ask!!

Love the site, love the mods, in fact I just love you all

      Re: Say Hello

yes as we have previously discussed there is a funedmental flaw in the sky firmware - and as proved the netgear router supplied with netgear firmware, or another router performs much better.

WHY they cant just use netgear firmware is beyond me - there is no rule which states the sky router MUST be used, and by the same token there is no advantage to having the username/password embedded in the router.

The details are given by letter - and customer services for broadband can supply these should the letter and/or copies of the details be mislaid.

      are we group hugging here?

      Re: Say Hello

Hi Paul jones, these instructions were on a another thread by 'Saturday' (skyuser moderator) hope this works for you:

Re: How to reset my modem
On the back of the router next to where the power lead goes in is a small hole. Push a pen tip or end of a paperclip in there for 10 seconds while the router is powered up.

This will reset it to how it was when delivered i.e. default settings.

      Re: Say Hello

Hi! I've just registered. I've just signed up to SKY although I have already had Freesat so have the SKY TV equipment. I've signed up to the new See Speak Surf package although its not all up and running yet as I only signed up yesterday so although I'm signed up to SKY's Mid broadband as part of See Speak Surf I'm still actually using AOL. I haven't yet figured how to post my own messages I can only do replies.

I have Aspergers Syndrome, I am Hard of Hearing, I am mum to 3 special needs kids and I am a Christian.

      Hello!

I've just joined and I'd like some help with an 'issue' I have with a multiroom installation.

I understand and commend the site for not 'Sky bashing!', I'm just going to have a look around and see if I can get some important tips and help!

      Re: Say Hello

      Hi,

I'm Lopears, not my real name of course, that's David. I am 60, have a partner and 2 + 1 Bunnies called Monty, Honey and the Wild One (it is really a wild rabbit, but has a decided to live in our garden). Luckily it gets on with my tame bunnies.

The reason I have joined this forum is to hopefully share issues I have with my Sky Broadband and if any of you are into rabbits, share some stories, piccys etc.

So, my main problem since I installed my Sky BB is it generally only stays on-line and connected for 17 minutes, give or take the odd second and then I just get can't display page! Only cure is to power down the Netgear Modem/Router and start again - pretty tiresome!

If any one has or is having the same problem your comments about how to fix it would be appreciated - A fault has been logged with Sky since the 18th June, but they have not come back to me with a fix or explanation - Help!!!

      Nice to meet you all.

      Lopears
