      Hi There.

My name is Dean and I've just got my Sky Broadband installed. Cor blimey, it's a lot faster than my Tiscali was!

I need a few questions answering, so I go and post them now.

      Re: Say Hello

      Hi,

I haven't taken the plunge yet with Sky BB but intend to.
I live on a new development that did not have cable laid when it was being built. I called NTL and they said there were no plans now or in the forseeable future for cable to be laid here, so I have Sky TV by default really so why not get the most out of it

      Hello!

      Hiya everyone.

      I'm Paul
      27 from Gillingham In Kent
If you're that interested read more about me at Fr.MySpace.com

I'm brand new to the world of Sky. Had Sky + and Broadband installed the other week. SO far so good, no problems....but i wont hold my breath!

      One thing.

I've always been able to check my email account via the settings on my mobile phone. However it doesnt seem to work with Sky. What are the settigns i need?
I worked out the basic smtp.sky.com but my phone (Samsung D900...dont ever buy one!) asks for a SMTP password and stuff...
It is annoying as i tend to check my email whilst away if not carrying my laptop. Although saying that i got my new laptop same time as broadband so maybe dont need to do this. But like to.

      Any help much appreciated!

      Cheers

      Paul

Hey folks. Name is Indefatigable (not really, but i'll explain why) I'm a Sky BB tech support operator, and I signed up after looking through the posts, and it seems that there is much confusion about the errors and issues that people have, and im not wanting to be harsh or rude, but it seems that some people just want to shout at Sky. Hopefully I will be able to clear at least some things up
