      Hi folks,

      I'm currently living in Birmingham with a fiancee who's currently in Canada. I've been with Sky now for over 18 months, and have had nothing but good experiences with them, although talking to friends I sometimes think I might be in the minority.

      I've been meaning for a while to upgrade the HD in my Sky+HD box for a while now, but have only just got around to trying it. (Did I mention that my fiancee is currently in Canada?)

      After doing some research, I now wish I'd done it before Darwin was introduced. Ho hum.

      Anyway, here I am, and it's good to be here.

      Hello all,

      I've been a Sky customer since the year zero, in fact my first box was a Uniden 8008 series, which tells you something lol.

      Just about to move onto Sky Broadband, so fingers crossed eh?

      I have a bit of history on technical support forums, but work commitments mean my time is limited so I tend to just stay in the shadows these days.

      The site is well structured and a very useful source of information, I'm pleased to be here.

      Hi all

      Just moved to sky talk and broadband and have used the info a little bit on this forum to help set up emails etc.

      Thought it was only fair to join and say hello/thank you for the help and experienced used so far

      Seems I have the Sagem 2540N router and am still in the first 10 day period which see's me currently up to 9.6meg connection :-)

      Hi Guys,

      New user alert !!

      Had Sky BB for a week now, had ADSL for years though, was one of the first to sign up with Pipex when they started offering a service all those years ago. (Still got the Green "Frog")

      Be was my last provider up until a move at Xmas.

      Looks like a good line here live almost on top of the exchange, showing 12dB attenuation.

      Looking forward to taking part in the community.

      Hi, I'm new here!

      I'm a frustrated Sky+ HD user. I enjoy Sky, but my Sky broadband was abysmally slow and unreliable, and as I work from home a lot, it was just too unreliable. I am now with Virgin, and the performance is good.

      Howdy

      Was a happy Sky user for several years than had to go through some budget cuts July last year due to an unwelcome change in circumstances


      Getting better now though and keen to reinstate ASAP; just holding out for a good Xmas deal so thought I would register here now in the hope someone here will give me a heads up!

      Can't wait to watch all my favourites including House, Fringe, V, Nat Geo, Discovery etc...not that it was easy before with the missus and her made for TV "true stories" etc and the boys cartoons.....

      Still, here's hoping....

      Good luck getting a good deal.

      Please remember that you will not be treated as a new customer since you left in July. It needs to be at least 12 months.

      However, assuming that the package was in your name, you could consider placing the order in your partner's name instead. Many have been successful doing things this way.

      The other drawback is that Sky increased the subs for the TV packs from September. If you get a similar pack to what you had before, you will end up paying a little more. For the rest of us, the price increase will come into effect from September 2012.
