    Look what santa got me

    This is a discussion on Look what santa got me within the General chat forums, part of the Community channel category; I noticed a resync at the headend on my vdsl2 around 12 days ago and didnt think much of it ...

      Look what santa got me

      I noticed a resync at the headend on my vdsl2 around 12 days ago and didnt think much of it
      just put it down to cab work

      drove past the pcp earlier and looks like santa got me an early present
      (its a new pcp as well as the old pcp was ancient)



      whats the deal with g.fast can i get it from sky i presume not
      as i havnt really been keeping up on whats going on with g.fast atm


      I presume im going to have to leave

      That may not be a gfast cabinet.

      Gfast cabinet extensions do not touch the ground.

      That looks like a regular cabinet extension to add more lines.

      i think its just a case of the angle the box is on on the hill
      that its all buried

      it looks identical to a g.fast pod to me

      yup g.fast for sure.. same as mum's cab all be it hers was done months ago and still no service offering yet

      do they always go on right side of cab? they've just added one to the left side of mine and moved the whole thing back, dug up the road a bit too.

      In Bath I have seen the g.fast pod on both the left and the right side of the pcp. Still no service offering on my mum's cab which is in the trial area and was fitted at the end of the summer!
