Arqiva, UK's TV & radio transmitter company is up for sale

The company responsible for the UK's television and radio transmitter towers, four Freeview multiplexes and numerous DAB multiplexes is up for sale.
Arqiva, currently owned by a consortium including investment bank Macquarie and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, is understood to be going on sale with a price tag of between 5bn and 6bn.
The company has a near monopoly over UK transmission towers. Arqiva's assets includes the former elements of Crown Castle / National Grid Wireless and NTL's transmitter business, which in turn were originally owned by either the BBC or the IBA.

I will start the rumour, Sky and Fox to make a bid
This will help with their iptv, no dish option route to market.
      LOL!

I think a lot of people would be very upset if they did make a bid. It would be funny though.

Of course Liberty Global could make a bid. I think that might cause as much of a rumpus though.

I can't see that it would interest BT Plc, but who knows.
