      Should be quite a few questions and presentations on Sky Mobile, now we know we can order it from end of October.

      Re: Sky Investor Day

      It's only pre-register from 31/10/2016 apparently. More news here:
      Sky Mobile is finally launching with pre-registration from 31 October | City A.M.

      "Customers will be able to pre-register for the service from 31 October and the media company will reveal further details of the service at its investor event today."

      "City analysts have noted Sky's late entry into the mobile market, and have questioned the effectiveness and costs of adding an additional service to its package."

      "Sky mobile likely to be an extra customer cost and an ineffective retention tool. As it did with broadband, we think Sky will use cheap mobile to soften the blow of its ever increasing pay TV prices," said Haitong research analysts in a note last week."

      " 'But UK mobile prices are already very low yet Sky must earn a profit at least for O2, its host mobile network. In contrast, BT enjoys owner economics with EE. Also O2’s network quality has been markedly inferior to EE’s for a number of years.'

      Liberum analyst Ian Whittaker noted that just 40 per cent of existing customers have three of Sky's services."

      Re: Sky Investor Day

      Yes, pre reg is Oct31st.
      Interesting quotes of suspected pricing doing the rounds

      Sky may enter the U.K. cellular market with attractive prices for mobile data, such as 5 pounds for 2 gigabytes per month or 10 pounds for 10 gigabytes per month, undercutting its peers, Wilton Fry, an analyst at Analysts at RBC Europe Ltd., said in a research note this week.

      Sky Sees
      That's a good deal.

      There is a lot of reference material on that sky investor day site link.
      One good one to browse is;
      https://www.investorday.sky/linked-d...al_webcast.pdf
      A few interesting facts I noticed.
      Only 2% of sky customers moved to NOW tv. Sky call it limited cannibalisation between Sky and NOW TV.
      2/3 of sky customers have shown a strong demand to take Sky Mobile.

      In this one;
      https://www.investorday.sky/linked-d...al_website.pdf
      A plan to have the sky Q product standard across UK/Ireland, Germany and Italy by mid 2018.
      Common hardware, Common UI, Common middleware and Leveraging Sky UK's capabilities to own and develop more of own IP.
