      Sad.
Never listened to him on the radio.
But he was just superb on Eurovision.
Remember the quiz show Blankety Blank and of course the Floral Dance.
The chat show he did from what I remember was popular, not my kind of thing.
Of course he made Children in Need what it is today, not that I ever watched it, but Im sure its success was all because of his charm.
One of the few, like we thought of David Bowie, you can call a British legend and deserving of his knighthood.

So sad as we lose yet another great entertainer.

Ever since last November we've had to say goodbye to too many great names.

Terry Wogan was someone that I think it is fair to say that 99% or more Brits and Irish would have listed to or watched at some time.

He was instrumental in setting up Children in need and only missed the last one due to health reasons. He had been the main presenter in each and every previous show.

Understandably the BBC News has been busy covering this story and little else since the news broke this morning. After moving from RTÉ Radio in the '60s he became pretty much a BBC worker for the rest of his life.

Of course many bought his record 'Floral Dance'. It sold enough to reach number 21.

Both the BBC and Sky News have been airing the following video which was actually recorded a few years ago. It's still fitting though...
