Christmas Presents (14th day)
Well it's the 14th December already. That means that there are just 10 whole days left for shopping for those presents.
Why do so many people leave it to that last moment?

Re: Christmas Presents (14th day)
I used to leave it to the last minute, I probably still would but I married the queen of organisation! Nothing is ever left to the last minute now, it can be really annoying.

Sometimes it's good to get things early. For example the prices on a few things dropped last month, but are now back at their regular or ridiculous prices.
On Saturday I wanted to get get a silly present I'd seen before for someone, but there were none left.

Re: Christmas Presents (14th day)
I'm assuming you mean an amusing present or something small just to show your appreciation.
A silly present would be giving someone something which is of zero use to them, like gloves for a man with no hands... a bit like the re-cycled presents you got sent and then passed them on the following year to someone else, only with fresh wrapping paper..... OH IT HAPPENS...--------------------------------------------------------

Both perhaps?
Not quite as 'useful' as recycled toilet paper though.

Re: Christmas Presents (14th day)
I remember they used to send out Christmas boxes to the less fortunate families when I was very young; we used to take things to school ( CofE School ) that would be put into Christmas boxes and they would be given out to poor families at Christmas; they often included toilet paper, the flat Jeyes type, not very soft at all!

Sadly there is still something similar in place today.
What with food banks being in huge demand at present, even with the benefits system, I can't see it coming to an end soon.
