Whilst it might be nice to have consistency by having the same level of services to a larger audience, its always nicer dealing with smaller companies as you get a less 'robotic' response.
With all these wonderful mergers of ever larger companies making even larger companies, there is more and more danger that the consumers will be the lessors.

That is unlikely.
Sky like most companies with links to the Murdoch family have clauses in all their broadcast rights deals that those rights will revert to the owners in the event of a hostile takeover.
It would therefore need to be a type of reverse takeover like the Telewest-NTL merger. Otherwise Sky would have been bought by someone else already.Please note the views and recommendations in my posts are my own and in no way reflect the views of Sky
