Dect phones with seperate base?
Anyone seen DECT phones where the Base station is a separate item?
I know Siemens make an VOIP system where the Base station is a separate unit (It also does landline calls) but not sure about anyone else?
Tempted to get It but given I hardly use my landline let alone the VOIP line it's a bit expensive to spend £80 - £100 replacing the phones.
Currently using The base station from an old BT unit (The handset batteries are stuffed) and a "onetel" phone that's connecting to it, but the displays going on the other phone.
Reason I want the base station separate from the phones is it's currently located in a cupboard since that's the only place there's power and access to the phone line at the moment.

Found this:
Konftel DECT base station - Cordless phone base station: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
I would consider it rather expensive. No reviews so you might want to investigate further before buying.
A Gigaset N300 would be cheaper and give you VOIP capability or it may work out cheaper to buy a set of phones with one more handset than you require so you can use the included base station and keep the redundant handset as a spare in case of another display failure.
