Recent deluge of Spam (not Sky related)

Has anybody else experienced a massive increase in spam in the last few days?

Today was relatively quiet - ony 74!

However from Friday to Monday I received WELL over 1000. I stopped counting, but I would guess about 2500.

      Typically:-
      Viagra
      Cialis
      Dodgy shares
      Weight loss
and many with complete gibberish with a web link.

None get to my computer as I use Mailwasher. They are deleted on the mail server before downloading. However half of them need manual deleting rather than being caught by my filters & auto deleted.

My bespoke email addresses are a couple of years old, so have done the rounds. All my mail is forwarded to my Sky ones. My Sky ones are not openly used at all.

I have my own domain so I can set up as many e-mail addresses as I like, the mail from these gets forwarded to my main address or can't be sent to another address altogether.

I am not planning on using my Sky address except to give to close friends and family.

There is the same problems as this reported at Plusnet in their forums and also Freedom 2 Surf in the support forums.

Obviously someone has found a way through all the filtering etc.

I easily get at least 50-100 a day and my email address aint public :-(
